Arsenal vs Cardiff Preview - Game 4

Image
Cardiff vs Arsenal Preview Cardiff City play hosts to Arsenal in Sunday’s early kick off in Wales, with the Gunners wanting to build momentum following last weekend’s victory against West Ham, being the first competitive win in the Emery era.  Defeats against Man City and then Chelsea were arguably expected for the Gunners, and the losses for the North London side were not at all embarrassing. A 2-goal comeback against Chelsea was encouraging, and a late goal certainly hurt the Gunners.  The 3-1 victory against West Ham was not a vintage performance but a win nonetheless, despite some understandable West Ham grievances, the 3 points were crucial for Arsenal and Emery.  Arsenal will come into the game with confidence, yet back to back victories for Cardiff show signs of promise for the Bluebirds.  The worry for the Welsh side is that they haven’t scored a goal, yet this season and Warnock and his side will certainly hope that comes against their North London c

Premier League Preview - Matchweek 4 - Saturday 1st September

Saturday 1st September  Leicester City vs Liverpool Liverpool come into this on the better form, with 9 points from a possible 9 to start the 2018/19 Premier League season.  After a rather harsh opening day defeat to Manchester United, Leicester won their next two games and sit pretty on 6 points from 3 games.  Following Thursday's UEFA Champions League Group Stage draw, seeing the Merseyside team pitted against Paris Saint Germain, Napoli and Red Star Belgrade, or the so called "group of death", last seasons finalists will definitely want to carry their Premier League form into Europe, and will also be desperate for their first ever Premier League title.  Prediction -  Leicester 1-2 Liverpool Brighton and Hove Albion vs Fulham  Both teams sit on 3 points from 3 games, which is a respectable return from these two teams. Following last weekends' 4-2 victory over Burnley, confidence will certainly take Fulham to the Amex. Brigh

Chelsea 3 - 2 Arsenal Premier League 2018 Matchweek 2 provided a London derby between Chelsea and Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.  It didn't start well for the Gunners, Chelsea started positively and certainly on the front foot, and when Pedro scored from close range after 9 minutes many fans could have seen another chaotic collapse from Arsenal, and when  Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang smashed a shot over the bar from close range, Chelsea hit on the counter, and  Alvaro Morata doubled the lead for the blues.  Arsenal somehow managed to get themselves on the front foot and before pulling one back from Henrik Mkhitaryan, who had previously had a miss that was as bad as Aubameyang's. Another dreadful miss from Iwobi was made up for when the Nigerian winger equalised for the Gunners.  When half-time came in with the score at 2-2, we all expected a second half just as good. Chelsea controlled it and although it didn't quite match up to the first half excitement, left back Marcos
