Arsenal 1-0 Sporting Lisbon Danny Welbeck gives Arsenal their 11th straight win, after a solid display in a evening afternoon in the Portuguese capital.  Danny Welbeck struck the winner as Arsenal beat Sporting Lisbon 1-0 in Europa League Group E, their 11th straight victory under Unai Emery. In a first half lacking in clear-cut opportunities, Henrikh Mkhitaryan forced a decent save out of Ribeiro from an angled free-kick, while former Manchester United winger Nani struck narrowly over from long range. In the early stages of the 2nd half,  Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang force two good saves out of Ruben Ribeiro one-on-one, before Welbeck saw a headed goal ruled out for a push, which was a harsh decision from the referee, in the 67th minute. Danny Welbeck eventually scored which proved to be the only goal of the game in the 78th minute, after former the Liverpool and Sunderland defender Sebastian Coates' mistake. The result means Arsenal sit at the top of Group E after

Arsenal vs Sporting Lisbon Europa League Preview Arsenal are looking to win an 11th match in a row in all competitions following their 3-1 victory over Leicester on Monday. Sead Kolasinac and Nacho Monreal will both miss Arsenal's trip to but Sokratis has managed to make the squad.  Carl Jenkinson has been included, having not featured for the Gunners since November 2016. Sporting, meanwhile, are fifth in the Portuguese top-flight, having won four and lost two of their seven matches this season. "For us this competition is very important," said Arsenal manager Unai Emery, who has been victorious in the Europa League three times with Sevilla. This will be the first meeting between Sporting and Arsenal since 1969-70, and if stats are anything to go by, it doesn't bode well for  Arsenal, who have never beaten a Portuguese side away from home (D3 L3), losing each of their last three. Arsenal vs Leicester City Review 10 wins on the bounce for the Gunners! Arsenal hosted Leicester for the Monday night fixture following the international break, and the Emirates faithful wasn't left disappointed. Arsenal were made to pay for their slow start, as Foxes and England left back Ben Chilwell saw his shot deflect off Hector Bellerin to put the home side 1-0 down.  With halftime looming, the Gunners required a goal, and they needed it fast. Up step captain Mesut Ozil who stroked home the equaliser, from a Bellerin cross, and this was the catalyst for the comeback. Unai Emery certainly isn't one to shy away from making big decisions, and on the 60th minute he introduced Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Matteo Guendouzi. Substitutions which, arguably won the match for Arsenal.  Ozil played a key role in both goals and his man-of-the-match display was instrumental in an impressive victory, and moves the Gunners back into fourth in the Premier League.
