Arsenal vs Leicester City Review

10 wins on the bounce for the Gunners!

Arsenal hosted Leicester for the Monday night fixture following the international break, and the Emirates faithful wasn't left disappointed.

Arsenal were made to pay for their slow start, as Foxes and England left back Ben Chilwell saw his shot deflect off Hector Bellerin to put the home side 1-0 down.
With halftime looming, the Gunners required a goal, and they needed it fast. Up step captain Mesut Ozil who stroked home the equaliser, from a Bellerin cross, and this was the catalyst for the comeback.

Unai Emery certainly isn't one to shy away from making big decisions, and on the 60th minute he introduced Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Matteo Guendouzi. Substitutions which, arguably won the match for Arsenal.

Ozil played a key role in both goals and his man-of-the-match display was instrumental in an impressive victory, and moves the Gunners back into fourth in the Premier League.

Leicester's only second half chance, came through a Wilfred Ndidi header which cannoned off the crossbar. Foxes fans may have a right to feel aggrieved, as Rob Holding seemed to handle the ball in the box.

Shortly after Aubameyang was introduced, he put Arsenal ahead when he finished from close range after Bellerin played across the face of goal from a perfectly-weighted pass by  Ozil.  The German Magician was involved again in Arsenal's slick third goal, dummying for Alexandre Lacazette and then chipping a no-look return pass across goal for Aubameyang to finish.

Lacazette should have got himself on the scoresheet but was denied at close range and then missed the target from a low cross.

The result makes it 10 wins in all competitions for Arsenal, who travel to Sporting Lisbon in the Europa League on Thursday before going to Crystal Palace on Sunday.
