Premier League Matchweek 5 - Sunday and Monday Preview

Premier League Matchweek 5 - Sunday/Monday Preview

Wolves vs Burnley

Wolverhampton Wanderers will look to build on a first win of the season following their last minute win at West Ham last time out, while Burnley are sitting in the relegation zone, still seeking their first victory.

Wolves have won both of their previous Premier League meetings with Burnley, lose victories coming in the 09/10 season under Mick McCarthy.

Burnley are however, unbeaten in their last four league encounters with Wolves, winning two and drawing two.

Burnley have never won a Premier League away match against a promoted side,  (W0 D6 L4), which includes a 0-2 defeat to Wolves at Molineux in December 2009.

Wolves are looking for a first win in 15 home matches in the Premier League (D4 L10) which would end their longest winless run at Molineux in the top flight.

Prediction - Wolves 2-1 Burnley

Everton vs West Ham

Everton have drawn 3 and won 1 game, whilst West Ham have lost all 4 of their encounters.

Everton have beaten West Ham in 24 league encounters, and scored 80 goals against them, which is more than they have done against any other team.

Theo Walcott has scored 6 Premier League goals against West Ham United, which is more than any other team.

Prediction - Everton 3-1 West Ham

Southampton vs Brighton

Southampton host Brighton at St Mary's to conclude the weekends' football.
Each side have 1 win, 1 draw and 2 defeats this season and are evenly matched going into this encounter.

Glenn Murray has good memories of facing Southampton, scoring in both Premier League meetings with them last season, as each match ended 1-1.

Charlie Austin certainly enjoys playing against Brighton, he has netted seven goals against them in all competitions, more than against any other side. He also scored past them in the EFL Cup this season.

Prediction - Southampton 1-1 Brighton
