Liverpool host Arsenal in the third matchweek of the 2019/20 season, and these are the only two teams with an 100% record so far.  Arsenal have beaten both Newcastle and Burnley so far, and Liverpool have beaten Norwich and Southampton to reach the summit of the league table.

Arsenal have made important new signings in key areas, with David Luiz arriving from Chelsea to sure up the back four, Dani Ceballos has excelled in the void left by Aaron Ramsey, and Nicolas Pépé is the Gunner's new right winger. Kieran Tierney is yet to play for Arsenal so far, and is set to rejoin training in October. The reinforcements have certainly improved the North London side, but defensive fragilities still remain a cause for concern.

Both teams have injury concerns coming into this match. Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson is "making good progress" from the calf injury he suffered on the opening day, according to Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, but he remains unsure when he will be fit to return. Naby Keita (hip) is still struggling and remains unavailable for selection.

Grant Xhaka and Mesut Ozil are also both back in full training for Arsenal, and could be in contention for the unbeaten Gunners, they also however may not be risked in the starting 11.

Liverpool have a great record against the Gunners, and are unbeaten in their last eight matches against them in all competitions (W4 D4). They last enjoyed a longer such run in February 2000, with 14 matches.

Arsenal are looking to win their first three matches of a top-flight season for the ninth time in their history. A victory today would be the first time they've done so since 2004/05, when they finished second behind Chelsea.

History could be on the cards tonight, as Roberto Firmino is one goal away from becoming the first Brazilian to score 50 Premier League goals.

Jurgen Klopp has faced Arsenal seven times without losing in the Premier League (W4 D3), which is his joint-best unbeaten record in the competition, having also avoided defeat in his seven matches against Everton.

Score Prediction:

Liverpool 2-2 Arsenal
